Video art

This video art project utilizes animation to explore the freedom of movement through imagination, transcending the spatiotemporal and physical constraints imposed by the siege and political borders on Gaza. Inspired by the hypothesis of black holes and the possibility of traversing spacetime, the work delves into Arab myths, folklore, and historical fantasy. The project is grounded in a personal experience during the 2016 siege, where a brief passage through a tunnel-like structure accompanied by a resonant sound evoked a sense of temporal transition, symbolizing a mental journey from Gaza to Paris. This work was developed during an artist residency at the Shababeek Contemporary Art Studio in 2020.
