"Interrupted Mythical Dreams — July 20, 2014"
Solo Exhibition, 2017
This project presents a series of oil paintings (150 × 150 cm) as an imagined archive of the dreams of 15 children from the Shuja'iyya neighborhood in Gaza — all of whom were killed on a single day: July 20, 2014.
An expressive archival project rooted in a documented event, revisiting it through a pictorial structure born from a shattered dream. The paintings draw inspiration from real interviews with the families of the children killed, transforming their small dreams into ritualistic scenes where each work embodies a "personal trace" within a visual archive that defies oblivion. The project raises questions about the relationship between art and memory, approaching "visual testimony" as an act of resistance against historical erasure.
